I'm heading back to my hometown of Medway in Kent for my interview with Detective Chief Inspector Lee Whitehead from Kent Police. I was incredibly lucky to achieve this interview as normally the Police are unwilling to provide media help for student journalists, however I knew I had to have this professional voice in my piece so I made sure it happened.
This interview is so key for how the documentary will eventually turn out, not only do I need a professional voice in the piece but this interview is the main way I'll be able to provide balance. Due to the nature of my topic, the police was imperative to making sure I didn't just make an advert for paedophile hunting, but a balanced piece.
DCI Lee Whitehead will be weaved in throughout my documentary and I'm hoping the interview will go as well as I expect as due to his busy schedule, if it doesn't go well, I won't have the chance to re-shoot.
